Syria

JOHN  3:14-15

AS MOSES LIFTED UP THE SERPENT IN THE WILDERNESS, EVEN SO MUST THE SON OF MAN BE LIFTED UP; SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES WILL IN HIM HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

Yesterday, I saw a video that came out of Syria.  As many of you know, there has been an increased amount of persecution there in the last several days, with many, including children, losing their lives. The video I saw though, was not of a fearful church; it was of men and women, strong in their faith, parading and shouting, lifting high the name of Jesus; pushing back against darkness.

Today, I want to invite you to be like these men and women. Today, I want to invite you out of any fear, complacency, reservation, or excuse you may have, and to instead, with boldness, lift high the person of Jesus Christ; even in the face of persecution, declaring his glorious Gospel and making him known.

Today, I want to encourage you to take your call to follow Jesus seriously. I want to ask you to think upon the goodness He has shown you, and to remember that while Christians may be dying, there are many more who are dying apart from ever knowing Christ. They will remain eternally seperated from Him because of their sin. They have never heard His kind invitation, or of their need to repent and turn to Him. But today you can tell someone!

Tell someone about Jesus today! And don’t forget to pray for the salvation of your enemies and other believers!
